Our Community Projects
Along with Unplug & PLay, our members organize, participate or support other community projects including: Vernon Heritage Fair, neighbourhood park PlayBoxes, the Children's Christmas Gift House, the Queen Silver Star Excellence Program, Sunshine Festival, Downtown Vernon Light-up and the Vernon Winter Carnival. We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change.
Our History
Our Optimist Club was chartered in 2011 and our members work each day to make the future brighter by bringing out the best in children, in their communities, and in themselves. Unplug & PLaY Week became our major project in 2013 and has consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!
